What's the estimated time of arrival from pre-order date to purchase to installed in my car?

They promised stats and preorder info by Wed/Thurs. I'm guessing they'll take CC info via web. But they won't charge until ship time. That's their standard policy anyway. They usually don't do preorders but for this one they want to get the right number from the pipe guy so they don't have to make the next wave wait (their NY pipe bender moved to a new location and has been backed up a bit.)

So if you're in, please post it so I can tell them that there are SolaraGuys eager for the pipes. If the price/power/date stats come out and you don't like them, don't preorder. Who else has to have one?

We'll know in a couple days. They have to get the figure from the mandril bender.

Powdercoated "Stardust Silver". I've seen the finished Mazda pipes and they'll look great with our stock engine cover. That's the only color offered by the only PC shop in town. When they get bigger they'll get a better sub for that or get the equipment for doing it in house. Pics on the website don't show the shine but imagine LunarMistMetalic kinda dulled down a bit.

Let me get this straight. The intake trimmed 1.5 sec off your 0-60 and you still got beat a few times racing a stock Solara? Something else is wrong because the heavier weight of the convertible doesn't explain the difference. Was the low end worsened to make the high end more responsive?

I can't speak to the weight issue with reliability. All that matters to me is this:

My car on cp-e is faster than my car stock.

Thus improvement. Maybe Georgetown put out a dog that day or maybe all convertibles are that much slower than coupes. Those electric motors are heavy! Anyone have a legit 0-60 time for either? My best was 8.5 sec. street. I'd like to get a real timeslip at the track.

He said his rims add 50 lbs to the ride. But really, don't even try to figure it out. Too many variables for the head to head to be useful. Me ragtop, him coupe. How much fuel did he have? More or less than me? >6lbs per gallon so it matters. I had roadtrip stuff, cooler, suitcase. (at least 100lbs.) He has rims, I'm 6'2" 225! You can go on and on. I wouldn't worry about it. I beat my stock time and the dyno will come soon.
Now if any G2 droptop wants to go to Greatlakes Dragway tomorrow, it's my treat. I'd really love to know first hand.

It sounds like something good to do the day before the July meet. (Gather a few members who are going there anyway.)

Of course, that makes the detailing that much harder for the Sunday show.

Wanna look into it?
