Isn't this the lag issue? This was issued 6/3/05. Anyone have this service done yet?

I've made an appointment with the dealer to take it in on Thursday. I hope this works.

Just in case, I'm going to reverse DocJohn's intake door trick back to the original setup. That will take a whole 9.5 seconds. (I don't want any issues from Toyota regarding the cause of the lag)

Dang it! I missed this from my last post.

The bulletin specifically calls out '04-05 Camry (3MZ-FE, 5-Speed A/T) but not Solara. While we all know this should be the same, will the dealers apply this TSB to the Gen 2 Solara?

Anyone have some thoughts on this? My dealer does not want to perform this on a Solara without the TSB calling for that car.

Can the dealer check up the line to see if it is the same? I mean, isn't the drive train identical between Camry and SOlara??

I just took my car in and asked if they had a T.S.B. for my Solara they said yes # TC006-05 and they would performe E.C.U. upgrade / recalibration for the hesitation problem. I have not checked to see if it corrected it or not.

hi, so i'm the first time on these kind of problem. i boughtmy solara last year june, how do i check if i need to bring by car back to dealer or, i can jsut to go dealer and ask if there is any TBS for my car? will they charge me for it or it's free?

this is a very important thread which will get many repeat visits

I think a special place should be made for this thread either a copy of it in the FAQ or make it a sticky. So it can be easily found by all.
