Power/Ground connection to amp

Postby SleeperSolara » Wed Jun 15, 2005 10:39 am

I was goin to get an amp finally for my car to power my Kicker 10" L5.
I was referin' to my "Car& Audio" mags and my other car mags.
I was lookin' at how they connected the power and ground wire to the amp.
Most of them stuffed the wire into the terminal on the amp.
I was thinkin' would this Image

on the end of the power and ground wire between the amp and the wire.
Should this work or should i stuff the wire into the wire terminal on the amp.
Or use these to connect the wires to the amp??
Thanks

That should work perfectly as long as it will fit into the terminal.

You can also get an amp that has the kind of connections where you put the wire in and it will tighten down on the wire.

Something like this

yeah, those work great for hooking up heavy gauge wire to the screw-type terminals on amps. you can get em at home depot for WAY-WAY-WAY cheaper. they handled my 4 gauge power and ground with room to spare.
