New problem on my hands...

New problem on my hands...

Postby dvdchris45 » Wed Jun 01, 2005 4:46 pm

So today I'm dropping off my cousin from school when she says to me "The door wont open" as she tries to get out. This is great, now I have a new problem on my hands. Now my car door wont lock or unlock from the inside and the factory alarm wont activate because of it..sigh...looks like another dealer nightmare coming up.

I had something similar happen to me with my old Camry. It turned out to be a blown fuse. You might want to check this out before taking your car to the shop.

UPDATE: I got my car back from the dealership last night. It turns out a solenoid in the passenger side door was disconnected from it's relay to the battery. So it was "unplugged" according to the dealer.

On another note, my passenger side window doesnt rattle anymore when I close it with the window down. Do any of you others have this problem?

And last but not least, I also had the sunroff TSB addressed while the car was there. So far its working like a dream.

Good to hear you're a happy Solara owner again.

I thought my window was rattling, but it turns out it is my dash right next to the drivers side door (to the left of the steering wheel) rattles when I go over little potholes and irregularities on the freeway. It stops rattling when I put my hand down on the dash. Anyone have this problem?
