Wide 18's in the back 17's in the front....???...

staggering rim size is an old hot rod thing... the only thing you'd want to stagger (not recommended!!!!) is rim width...

18x9 front and 18x8 rear... lol it'd look gay though! Just stick w/ the same all around... staggered on RWD works because they need more contact on the rear... but still isn't worth it unless you have 400+ whp or massive torque that PWNZ all.
1GR-FE ftw!

Don't stagger FF. It is quite lame in my opinion. I think Jeff put it perfectly.

As someone else said, wider rears on a fwd car just makes you look stupid, as if you don't know that the rear wheels are not being driven. Also, it means you won't be able to rotate your tires, since they're just flipped between front and rear on the same side. Don't do it.

If you want the staggered look you dont have to staggered the wheels..

going with wider wheels in the rear on a FWD car you will create understeer interm defeat the purpose of higher quality tires and wheels.(Handling purposes)

What you need to do it staggered the offsets with the same size tire and wheel all around. This would not create understeer since your tire size will be the same all around. Thats what i was going to do, But i dumped the ideal og doing this since its too much trouble.

If you want to do the staggered look you would wanna it with:
8" wide wheels
Front +40 offset
Rear +30 offset.

This set-up will give you the closes look to staggered without sacraficing the handling of the car. also the wheels will sit flush with your fenders. I know this cuz i tested fitted wheels with this offset on 235 series tires. You would also have to shave the inner rear fender or roll them. Cuz you will rub with that offset. But once shaved you will get a nice sleek look..

But like the others have mentioned.. if you dont have the money to fork out dont do it cuz you can't rotate your tires like you normally would. You have have to get the tires demounted and remounted each time and would interm cost alot in the long run.

You could use 35 offset.. the tire kinda sticks out a little in the front.

I got 19x8.5 +37 offset and the wheels sit really nice..

Thanks man! So I would want 35 in back, 37 in front or something like that? I was hoping to get the back as wide as possible, for the staggered look and all that. BTW what size tires you got on there?

i think you should go with the 37 or 40 et in the front and 35 et in the rear.. it would look nice.

i have 18x8.5 with 35 et all around.. it sticks out a lil bit in the front...

also if you going for 18x8.5 get 235/40/18 tires. dont get 225's

I was going for 245/40's. Any chance I can squeeze em in there?
