How much are you willing to spend? $$$

It's very hard to reccomend stuff without a budget.

^^^ Absolutly, it depends on how much your going to spend. :D

The intergrated tube Subwoffer systems are cheaper; however, You'll gain so much more with a box setup in areas of better sound, running a bigger SUB and room to grow your syetem in the long run. The down side to boxs (especially if your going the Bandpass, ported box or huge SUB in a sealed box setup) is the loss of trunk space and the pain of routing/packaging all the equipment neatly (with the wires all being stealth). IMO i like the sealed box setup. It has the nice extended lows verses the bandpass or ported where all the sound is tuned by the port design of the box (at a EQd like setting). Good Luck Bro. :P

A tube might work for an open vehicle like a jeep, but i used to have a bazooka tube in my solara and you could barely hear it, let alone feel it. The solara is too big of a car.

If you go with a box, i'm partial towards sealed boxes because they sound better and hit tighter, IMO

Ditto yanks. Sealed boxes are nice for their relatively smaller footprint, tight response, SQ and power handling. There are better choices if you want dirty-dirty bass, but i think sealed is the best all-around enclosure for the money.

I've always gone with a sealed box rather then a bandpass box. Basstube sounded nyccee in my Jeep b/c it was open but you definately gotta go for a sealed box for a Solara.

SpeedSTARs said it best......"It has the nice extended lows verses the bandpass or ported where all the sound is tuned by the port design of the box (at a EQd like setting)."

......along with Yanks0114......"A tube might work for an open vehicle like a jeep, but i used to have a bazooka tube in my solara and you could barely hear it, let alone feel it. The solara is too big of a car."
