mmmm that's nice, i want an exhaust setup like that, I was noticing the rear bumper and it looks like there's some sort of trd insert or something that allows room for the dual exhaust, can anyone elaborate on it?

if you download the pdf from the site it says:

custom rear valence to acommodate dual exhaust provided by molly designs

who knows if they are actually going to mass produce them or sell them
BTW this was a SEMA toyota TRD so maybe its all custom made one of a kind. but it would be great if you could get a custom job from molly designs

The only things not available on that TRD SEMA SOlara are the custom rear valance and dual exhaust. I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for either. All other parts are readily available though.

This is something I've tried to do a whole lot of research on with relatively little success... I caught these pics soon after they were released, and they were actually part of the influence of my purchase of the Gen2 Solara... Molly Designs did, indeed, assist in the development of this prototype, however that is ALL it is (a prototype developed for one show and one photo shoot...) and there is very little chance of this infamous kit hitting the market. From what I gathered, they had a lot of issues with the dual exhaust setup due to the undersides of the Solara... There were also issues with the rear bumper itself... Unfortionately the information I received was over a year ago now, so I no longer have it (and I don't remember all of the intimate details)... But I had three independant sources tell me very similar things after their own research on the topic (TRD, my local Toyota dealer, and Molly Designs)...

No problem bro, I wish I had more info / better news to offer on the subject... I spent around 3 months trying to drag information out of people and all I got was pretty much that skimped out information! I wish I had saved all the email tracks I had so I could have a few more specifics in front of me... but those are LOOOONG gone... I love that rear bumper, it's pretty slick (esp with the dual sport mufflers and the TRD etching)! Not a fan of the first gen TRD wheels for the 2k4 Solara though... look like something you'd find on a mid to late 90s Mustang or something... not really a Jap car style (that's why I chose the gen2 TRD Touring wheels)...

well it was more than enough. thanks for researching it BTW. that rear bumper does look great but the only problem might be that the mufflers might scrape when getting out of the drive way (looks pretty low) thats true about the wheels, there are other rims that would looks nice on the solara gen 2 like the BBS rims or donz rims like mike t's.

Yeah, I just noticed the mufflers being so low. I would definely rock the dual exhaust if it wasn't a problem.

Phreakedout posted a thread not too long ago comparing the underside of the new Toyota Avalon and our solaras. Now I forgot just what the thread is titled but from what I remember the solara's spare tire housing blocks a potential routing position for a secondary outlet. If we could get an undeside shot of this TRD Solara then we'd be able to see how they made it happen!
