elmhurst TOYOTA, IL meet 7/10/2005 (update 06/03/2005)

Postby PhreakdOut » Tue Apr 26, 2005 10:07 pm

Has anyone heard back from Elmhurst Toyota? (regarding pre-registration)

I sent them an email offering two tC sport mufflers for prizes, but I haven't received any feedback.

We didn't have pre-reg last year. Sto and I rolled on the lot about two hours after the starting time and they were still registering peeps as they pulled in. However, we did miss out on the food :(

We had a good time, got to meet RGZTOY (Reggie) and sto.

Excellent! I was a little worried my email went into a black hole. (1st time I'm attending this event.) I really look forward to meeting everyone. Solaraguy.org should make a banner and get all of us to park in one section. Strength in numbers, right? :D

Cricket Creek Forest Preserve is a mile away from Toyota. Anyone know if there's a good size lot there? Might be a good rally point. Or there's a Days Inn or a BMW dealership ( :D )up the road.

The forest preserve sounds perfect.

I'll check for a parking area on my way out Friday (to MD) unless anyone lives close. (save me the toll.)

To help identify my car to other SolaraGuy members, I will post a 8.5"x11" piece of paper in the front windshield with my user name on it.

I hope any others who will attend might do the same thing.

Sounds like a good plan! I roll through there on I-94 anyway.

However, I was planning to head out on Saturday am and slip into town early enough to "debug" the car before the show on Sunday.

Perhaps we can get a crew together on Saturday night and go out to dinner somewhere. (You in Downtothec?) The Elmhurst area is my old stompin' grounds so it'll be good to be back.

Maybe I missed this, but what time does it start Sunday? Not sure when I will come out. I have a buddy who lives in Palatine so I may drive out there Saturday and stay with him. Too cheap to pay for a hotel. :P
