FYI ALL:

I saw this in the latest Import Tuner Mag.

http://powerenterpriseusa.net/

MSRP $419

According the the article, it took 16 dyno runs of hit or miss tuning with a net result of +14.1hp and 9.1 lb-ft torque on a 2001 Celica GT-S.

I'd like to see a test on a 3.3L V-6 Solara.

That is cool news because as I read it, that's exactly what the MAFci will do (with the added bonus of the bigger intake.) Only difference is that it's tuned for the car and if you get the "programmable" one, then you can tweak the settings with a laptop. The fact that this is out there for VVT-i give me hope that tuning the mixture will give us power. Then add the big intake... sweet! Nice find man!

almost useless for a untweek intake/exhaust/forced induction engine... the vvt-i settings are currently made to run w/ the best power and fuel ratio.

I completely agree Jeff. This should not be for the "untweeked" Solara. Like all mods, they should be planned in the correct order. There no point in modifying the fuel map or valve timing if you can't push more air in the engine or out of it.

Downtothec has his car in CP-E for the intake and controller upgrade. (A similar system) We'll have a pretty good gage for the best possible results expected out of a controller replacement.

Any newbies out there who are wrench challenged; I'd avoid this unless you can have a local tuner shop dial it in for you. The one near me will charge $120 / hour for dialing it in on the dyno. (Again, consult them before purchasing this to see if you have the right combo of mods.)
