I don't think the toyota logo is a "cowboy hat". Rather, it is the letter 'T' made up of 2 ovals.

I got the "cowboy hat" description from someone on this site. About the time I first joined I read a posting that was on something like, "What does the Toyota logo look like to you?" I quess the cowboy hat idea stuck in my mind.
