Ok, sounds good to me! Are they tough to replace? I don't know a whole lot about cars so I don't want to screw up anything with the engine.

I haven't done mine yet. See JoeB's response earlier in this thread.

i just got the bushings yesterday and the ones for the Dog bone (SPF!1348K) are the right ones, but my car is a manual tranny model so maybe the ones for the auto are a different size? I also ordered some other bushings from superpro I got to jack the car up and see if these other ones will also fit=)

OK, this seemed like an almost impossible task to get replacement dogbone bushings so I took the alternate route. I discussed with Mike and Glen, from Fulcrum Suspensions if I might send them a new US Spec Solara V6 Automatic transmission dogbone for development. They said that would be the best of all options.

I purchased a new dogbone from my friend at Anythingtoyota.com and had it shipped directly to:

First Name : Michael
Last Name : Stone
Company : Fulcrum Suspensions pty ltd
Address : 28-40 Evesham St.
City : Moorooka
State/Province : Queensland
Zip/Postal Code : 4105
Country : Australia

Mike will remove the old bushings, take the correct measurements, build the bushings, install them and ship the dogbone to me. When he is done he will have all the correct numbers to build bushings for all US Spec V6 auto tranny Solara's. Keep in mind the MTM and soft top have a different dogbone. You can thank me later. 8)

UPDATE 21 Jun 2005 Polyurethane dogbone bushings

Postby Paladin06Greg » Mon Jun 06, 2005 6:45 am

UPDATE #3: The latest e-mail from Mike at SuperPro reference our Polyurethane dogbone bushings: Guys if you want in on this please advise. Cost coming soon but I'm sure it will be reasonable! See UPDATE #2 below for vehicle application.

Greg,
R&D are waiting on the sample parts to come back from engineering and sample part department.
I have asked they let me know as soon as they see it.
The design is very cool, I think you will like it.

Have you any idea on annual volumes this part can generate ? Please advise on initial possible sales number.
Yours Faithfully,

Michael Stone

UPDATE #2. My guy at Anythingtoyota.com sent me an e-mail about the dogbone I sent for R&D.

Greg,

This is globally what the parts number 12363-20020 fits on US spec. Toyotas.

8/96-7/01 Camry V6
6/98-12/02 Solara V6 Cp ATM

These are the only Toyotas it shows to fit.

Hope this gets what yo need.

BG

UPDATE!!! I had e-mail contact with Mike in the land down under yesterday. He has received the dog bone shipped and turned it over to his R&D team.

How many of you V6 automatic transmission Gen 1 guys are interested? I'll take a count and pass it on to Mike.

I'll have more soon.

^ES dogbone bushings were never mass-produced AFAIK. Joe Bailer had the only one I was aware existed.
