green backlight?

Anyone think the dash backlighting scheme is kinda strange as it doesn't match the white/blue gauge? I'd've prefer red, blue, amber or white over the ugly green.....

:agrue: I must say some of us are huge green fans and were very excited to learn when they did not test drive or even get into the car and bought the car by saying "I want it , Get me it in red" to see the green! So the ugly green thing .... well not so ugly anymore is it?

greens are so... 90's. if they're going to use green, atleast coordinate with the gauges. designers must've been smoking that green crap when they decided to go w/the green.

LMAO!! I'm not sure if I agree or disagree. The green is fine with me. When I see it, I get in the mood to play my XBox. (Probably subliminal suggestions from Bill Gates)

That's what mods are for. You don't like it, change it! (or don't buy it)

Holy schnikes! :o Everyone breathe in, breathe out ....

You've got the grounds for a good mod here. I'm sure changing the color won't be easy, but C is the man to call on. He's one of the few with complete repair manuals for the Gen 2 Solara, so I'm sure between the two of you, a solution could be found.

Think of it this way Toyolara; you may be the first one to do this mod and post up the instructions to everone else. (This pioneer status is well honored here. Right MikeT, DocJohn, and the many others who endeavor to take the Gen2 to the limits?)

Peace brother.
