maintenance light

Postby ndoyank » Thu Apr 28, 2005 9:53 am

Hay guys,

According to the maintenance schedule I needed to have my first oil change at 5000K. I changed mine at 3000K, but my light turned on when when it hit 5000K. Just wondering if its normal that the light came on. Anyone know how to turn it off?

Thanks

Follow these steps to reset the maintenance light:

1. Make sure the odometer is on the main setting, not one of the trip odometers.
2. Turn the car off. Leave the key in the ignition.
3. Press and hold down the odometer reset button.
4. Continue holding the reset button while turning the ignition to either ON or ACC (don't remember which).
5. You will see activity in the odometer setting. Usually complete after 10 seconds.

You're good for another 5k miles!

It's pretty chilled on this board. We'll give you the answer or a link and then say "Search next time". But don't piss off Milt!!! (1LOKEDOUTSLE) You'll wake up with your HIDs in your bed!

Me, I'll give you the benefit and assume searched but didn't try "maintenance light oil change".

The search engine here isnt exactly google-caliber. It takes me a while to find certain topics previously discussed
