So how much can I expect to pay for '05 Solara 4banger coupe out the door? in southern california, los angeles? longo toyota?

i am planning to drop $8000 downpayment and do financing. what apr rates you guys got?

i was really leaning in favor of the scion tC but after I found out that the '04 Solara 4banger has slightly better gas mileage than the tC and the MSRP wasn't significantly too high over the tC..which is why i'm considering it.

okay thanks guys.

i don't think i can afford the '06... and i don't think i can afford the v6, so please don't push me for it. i commute to school 60 miles round trip everyday and need decent gas mileage.

the tC and solara have the same engine, and since the tC is smaller and lighter,i wold think the tC would get better milage.

as far as what to expect, depends on options,i would guess any where from about 18-19,000 to mid 20's

and get the stick, will get slightly better milage than auto and mor fun to drive.

l337hxr,

Take a look at the link below and perhaps you'll get a general idea of what others have paid for their Gen 2 Solaras.

New 2004-2005 solara owners... what did you pay?

Good luck with your purchase.

Cool thanks guys.

Well the tC is 22/29 MPG as according to edmunds.com for the stick.

If I get a solara, thats mostly likely going to be auto. i don't want to drive a big fat car around in stick that has no power... it would just be very tedious... i would only prefer stick if the torque/power is good..

but the '05 solara has a 22/32 MPG for auto... and i'm willing to pay an extra 3 grand if it came down to it for a solara than a tC.... i saw the interior of the solara and it is BITCHIN'

I have a stick and I LOVE IT it's so much fun to drive, it's very torquey/sporty If I could go back in time I would get an SE sport 5spd, the interior is nicer and it has a body kit, there is an 04 arctic frost SE sport 5spd with a moonroof here at toyota of escondido, the MSRP is 23k or some such $hit, which is the same as the one I bought cuz I had an 18 inch wheel upgrade, and window tint, and I bought mine for $17,000 BEFORE THE REBATE if you can find an 04 buy that because by now the dealers will do anything to get rid of them, and they are the same as the 05... just my $.02 Good luck
2004 Toyota Solara SE, 4 banger 5 speed. Bought on 3-24-2005.
