I have a new problem. When I try to close my sunroof, it will close up until the point where the wind deflector gets tucked in, then the sunroof will go back to the open position. Something is setting off the sensor that detects an arm or some other foreign object getting in the way for the sunroof to safely close. Some saftey feature crap. I guess I will take it in and see what they can do since it doesn't happen all the time.

So do I, thanks. I just hope I can live with it until my next oil change.

Well it's been 2 weeks since I had the 2nd TSB (Number: NV004-05) done on my car, and the sunroof works great, it's quietier then when I first got the car. If your sunroof is making any noise at all, you should have this TSB done.

I'm taking my car in on Thursday to address the sunroof TSB as well as the 'hesitation' problem if they have a fix available. If not, Lexus dealership here I come!

I took my car in last Thursday to have TSB (Number: NV004-05) for the sunroof to be fixed, and now I have nothing but rattles somewhere above the headliner, plus I now have a tear in the driver's seat from a tool in someone's back pocket. The TSB worked, because now the sunroof is nice and quiet when opening or tilting. The dealer sub's this out to a trim shop to perform the TSB, they don't even mess with it. Now I have to be inconvenienced again by taking the car back to fix it right. You fix one thing and they mess up another. :x

The dealer said they would order a set of front springs for the left drift issue, per new TSB update. Anyone have this done, and did it correct the problem? I've already had the other TSB done where they turn the strut plates and that didn't work.

Hi, I'm new to the forum and this is the first post other than introducing myself...

Anyways. my sunroof is making noise at the beginning of opening and closing. Is it the noise that talked about here?
also i found the link to the PDF file of the TSB while I was searching, but the link was to the old forum and i could not see it..
would anyone let me know the link to the file, or let me know how to identify if my car is come under this issue?

sorry, my english is not good... let me know if this post doesn't make sense..

Thanks

I saw two TSBs regarding the left pull issue; the older one (ST002-04)covers the repair under the 36k mile warranty, but the newerr one (ST005-01) states it is only covered for 12 months or 20k miles...WTH?

Also, I can't seem to find the doc for NV004-05 on www.Tundrasolutions.com

Ive been meaning to take it in. Actually i've gone 3 times where they had ample time to do it but turned me away. Once they didnt have all the parts for it the other time they said it wasnt a priority BS. To come and give them 2 or 3 days to fix it. I went 3 weeks aog to get the oil done and brought it up again. re-ordered everything and now i got to find the time to bring it in. Hopefully it resolves everything. Ive had the loud noise for over 3 yrs already.

I can't find this NV004-05 TSB anywhere, could somebody post a working copy from any non-subscription service? I can't find it in tundrasolutions, where I am subscribed.

I just had the sunroof cables replaced and the sunroof works better now than ever. No more rubbing noise (even in the sun). The sunroof works just like the day I bought the car. I am happy with it finally. The TSB only worked for a few weeks, then it started rubbing again.

I took it in a little over month ago! They said it was a drainage tube that caused the problem. The water had no where to drain and some how thats supposely how the problem started. They had to serch for the part becuase it wasn't it the computer or had a number. They put me in a rental for 3 days now everythings fine. Driving around for 3 yrs with that noise was anoying. Now am still tramatized its gonna make the nosie again any day now. So far so good

and what if you just deal with the noise
i notice when it is hot yeah it makes the EERRRRRRTTTT nosie when you open it, but when it is sliding back its fine

on cool days, its fine, like 70 or below, or if the car has not been in the sun. i figure it was just the gasket.

anyways, just wondering if it is something that REALLY needs to be fixed! :drinking:
