I don't think you got ripped-off. As long you got what you paid for, you did just fine. To make yourself feel better, find out what it would have cost you to buy and install the 18" wheels & tires you have now. They charged you $1895 so that's your basis for comparison. If you were lucky you could have sold your stock 16" set for about $400 (at best) so figure that into the deal. I had to sell my stock 17" set, my wife wouldn't let me keep 'em because they took up too much storage space! :(

Sure, in hindsight it would have been nice to have the 16" wheels and tires too, but even if you would have asked for them the day you took the car, the dealer might "not have been able to find them".

I hope you're happy with your new car. Its looks sweet! I sure wish I would have had such a nice ride when I was your age! The babes would have been throwing themselves in front of my car.

once again

Once again DocJohn is right. Really, unless you had hard math going in to the deal, you will never see those stock rims. And I can tell you it isn't worth stirring up that hornets nest. The service guys might be nice, bit once you sign, the sales people think you're dog s**t, and don't want you around. They know the law, they know it's on their side, and they won't do a damn thing for you. All you'll get is bad treatment and then when you have to go to the dealer for service, you'll have to slink around them.

I used to sell cars, and I have had run-ins with the sales people. I am a lawyer, and those guys make me feel like it's not worth it. You will find that the sales contract you signed has an iron clad integration clause, and there is nothing else you can do to get those rims.

Enjoy the car, the price is fair, and you signed with your eyes open. You're done.

Thanks for the insight, and regarding the whole contract thing, believe me I know, I sell cars too... I never treat my customers like dog $hit though, but I do know that if it's not on the contract I signed I can basically smurf-off, cuz you're right, I'm now a non-entity to them... Oh well I guess, I am very happy with my new solara I should just let it go...
