It looks as good, you think it'll sound as good as the TRD muffler?

I was looking at some brake rotors too, and will ones that say they are for 99-03 work on our 04s?

For $85. try it out and give us a report. I paid $400. for my TRD Sport

Muffler. For $85. if it doesn't work out you can put the oem back on.

Hold onto your oem muffler for when you sell your car because they cost

almost $400. from Toyota and some buyers do not like loud exhaust.

You definitely want to get Phreak's take on this. (PhreakdOut) That's his gig. PM him if he doesn't chime in.

I just noticed it says for 99-03 will it work on an 04? It won't be like the trd one where I can just bolt it on right? I'll have to take it to an exhaust shop and have them fit the pipes and stuff right?

Hey there all. I just got off the plane from Japan.

I caught SG's message regarding the TRD Muffler. I swapped out for the TRD muffler. My honest opinion is that "the Jury is still out."

Pros:
1) Yeah, it's pretty.
2) The TRD logo is laser etched into the top edge of the tip.
3) The tip has perforations and glasswool in the innerwall. (This reduces the air rush noise on hard acceleration.
4) ANYONE can install it. Seriously, do not have a dealer do this.
5) The fit is good. The OE tip sat too far back for the SE Sport models. It made the body kit look ridiculous. Thewider tip fits the opening perfectly.

Cons:
1) They forgot to provide bolts, nuts and a gasket.
2) It's really expensive. (Come on, $500 MSRP)
3) I seem to have lost some bottom end power. The tranny shifting seems worse than ever. (I gotta get the fix.)
4) The tone is really subtle. Borderline unnoticed at idle.

As for this muffler, I'm sure it would work fine. You may be better off getting the muffler and tip seperately. If this tip falls short of clearing the bumper, then it may end up an ugly mod.

Hey there Girlie:

Did you make a decision on your exhaust?

(Just curious which way you went.)

Just got back from installing my TRD exhaust. Even though the exhast is a bit on the pricey side, I do have to say it was money worth spet IMO. I didn't notice too much of a performance gain, but im loving the tone of the exhaust. It't not too riced out, but aggressive enough for our car to sound like a real sports car. HA! Its comparable to a g35, but not as garggly.

Also, for those who have a SE with the sports kit. The exhaust is almost flush with the kit. It protruds just enough so you can see the TRD engraving on the tip.

I completely agree! The TRD muffler looks great with the body kit.
