Trading in 2004 SLE I4 auto for V6 model

About how much would I need to pay if I were to trade in my 2004 SLE I4 auto (11,000 miles, little scratch) for 2004 SLE V6 auto or 2004 SE V6 auto? I should have bought V6 in the first place... :(

This has not been confirmed by Toyota and is purely high hope rumors started by enthusiasts. I wouldn't hold my breath.

Well, they may start to produce them even more for the 3.3 since we may have an inferiority complex. That can drive sales more than having the top end motor from the dealer.

Anywho, trade it. Doesn't matter what it costs. Trade it! Traaade it!

Then post new pics and tell us how gosh darn happy you are you traded it.

Just curious what made you get the 4 banger in the first place? All it took was one test ride in that car and my mind was made up to get the v6.

Now only if I could stopped wishing I had got the G35 instead.

Before this car, I was driving a weak 1990 Honda Civic (I think it had around 100HP), so I thought 157HP I4 for the Solara wasn't too bad. I test drove it and thought it was pretty good. Plus, I4 model had better gas mileage and was cheaper than the V6 model. Now that I think about it, the gas mileage isn't that much different from V6 model and the price difference isn't that big. And I feel the need for speed...

you should have gotten the manual, there is a big difference between the stick and auto.in fact the dealer i got mine from didn't have a standard on the lot and had to get one from another lot or else they would have lost a sale.i would never consider an auto,v6 or not, when i want a car.if and when they offer a stick with the 6,then i may consider getting that.

I guess you don't drink coffee on the way to work, or have any stop and go traffic either. I like the control and feel I get with a stick, but after humping that shifter up and down 95 between DC and Baltimore, forget it. I like the comfort of the manumatic. Shift when I want, but still don't have to hump a clutch.

i live in the dallas area,so there is plenty of stop and go traffic, but no i usually don't drink and drive,i find that when i do,my coffee doesn't get drunk before i get to work weather i drive a stick or auto,it mostly stays in the cup holder.

I've had bad experiences with autos going out,so always sticks for me.i can replace a clutch myself, but i won't touch the inards of an auto.
