So is that mean if you have automatic you can just take it into a dealer for the upgrade? that simple?

Went to 3 dealerships in Orlando, Fl and not one of them knew anything about this. They all said the same thing, have to wait for the TSB to be released.

Hearing all these problems with the 04 model im wondering if the 05 models still have these issues. I've been reading the past few posts about TSB's and I am noticing alot of shaking in the rear tray deck. I was wondering if anyone could pm me the pdf file, as I would like to get this fixed.

ALso,

if you have any other tsb send em my way.

Thanks

TC004-03 is the TSB issued on the ES 330

I looked in the Solara department... nothing seen regarding the ECM shifting enhancement...

I had noises in the rear deck and brought it in to the dealer. They put more insulation to fix it.

Doesn't the ES 330 share the same transmission with the Solara? It's practically a 4 door lux'ed up version of the Solara. I would think the Solara would benefit from the same TSB fix.

Same hardware, different software. The ES software is smoother than the Solara's... if they did the ES update on the Solara, then why buy an ES?

There is supposed to be an update for all 3.3L 5-speed autos which would include the RX330, ES330, Solara V6, 2004-2005 Highlander V6, 2005 Camry V6...

So you're gonna believe a shady online newspaper over a Lexus employee.

GG.

Eventually they will release the fix for the Toyota side... just because it's the same hardware doesn't mean it's the same software, as I previously stated.

The RX and ES software is TOTALLY different. Different shift points, different VVT-i phasing...

Load the RX software in your car and see ... it'll have more torque and less HP. VVT-i is an amazing tool.

The Toyota teams should have the Lexus programs loaded onto their bricks... tell them to load the RX program for you. I dare you. Worst case scenario, your ECM rejects the program and locks up. =P

The Toyota brick (seems) to allow you to reprogram everything that's electronically controlled in your car... so who needs a S-AFC... hehehehe

I'd be curious to see the results with a different program. I'm sure someone here has connections and get that done. I'd love to see before and after 1/4 mile times or even 0-60 times.
