Radio Replacement

Postby hax311 » Fri Apr 08, 2005 5:07 pm

I got my car last October of 03. Immediately took it down to CC to have a new deck installed, and remove the NAV. We decided to scap that idea, and go another router, we pulled the pocket, and I designed my own mount. If you need one, let me know, and I can send it to you. I still get audio from the NAV, and I've replaced all the internal speakers with JL audio all around.

Has anyone found a dash kit that matches the stock silver better then the ones above? If not, is there one that would fit the dark stone interior color?

Jewls, where did you get your kit? Website? Store?

I found these best kits, it says it matches the silver, but I can't tell if they actually do:

Thanks in advanced for any help.

kgzero1,

Here's the best place to get it - Mobile Emotion. They're very fast with shipping and great customer service. Ask for Jim or Chris and tell them Michael T. from Kentucky sent you.

Keep us posted on your project.

Thanks michaels artic frost! This is half the cost (more or less) of the the best kits. Looks decent. Would I need to get the wiring harness too? I don't plan on installing it myself, but will let CC do it. Thanks again.

In case you were wondering this is the HU I bought for the Solara(which I haven't gotten yet, but plan on getting this weekend :fadein: ):

Michael thanks for responding for me.

I don't have much free time these days, so I apologize for not getting to this sooner. I purchased from the site Michael posted, and I reccomend getting the wiring harness from them as well, as it is cheaper than CC. They gave me mine for free because they weren't sure it would fit, I was the guinea pig for this project initially. :)

Thanks, jewls. Do you have a black (dark charcoal) interiror or a grey(dark stone) interior?

I am most likely getting a dark stone interior and was wondering if this would look bad with this black dash kit.

Doesn't look bad at all. Looks better than that "silver" one which looks like it is white.

Thanks Jewls.
