Just got my car back from the shop. I bought my 20 inch whhels last year so I decided to get the TRD spring, front strut bar, rea sway bar, muffler & air filter. Had the car align. The ride is smooth and the filter and muffler gives it a little kick

What sizes tires do you have? I tired to run 265/40-18 and with the stock SE springs they rubbed on bumps. I installed 245/40-18 and I have no rubbing. But I would love to lower the car with TRD springs but I worried about rubbing

Thanks

You can always cut or roll the fenders to get rid of the rubbing when/if you lower the car...

yea just hate to do that to a new car :)

Tire Size on Gen 2 Solara:

Hi Mark: The maximum tire size on 18" rims is 225/45/18 when used with

the TRD Lowering Spring Set. At least that is what is recommended by

TRD. I have that combination on my car and I have had zero rubbing

problems and it handles great. Here are some handling statistics from

TRD for their various set-ups on the Gen 2 Solara.

And here is the TRD Wheel & Tire Set that I have on my Solara.

Currently in limbo waiting for more Gen 2 parts to be released by TRD.

Very sharp Mikei !

This is the best looking ragtop Gen2 I've seen.

Solara 08861: The wheels are great. (Good choice) You've pushed the envelope with the 20s. Keep us posted on clearance issues.

No problems with the clearance issues. With the TRD springs, strut bar and sway bar the car handles great. I put close to 75 miles a day.

Dude your car looks exactly the same as mine... all good though.. nice work on your car. I practically have the same setup except for the TRD muffler. I wish I went with 19's, but im content with my rims. Also get Micheal T's grille. it makes a world of a difference

also... what kind of rims are you running
