TRD muffler sounds like G35 muffler... am i right?

Postby dvdchris45 » Tue Mar 22, 2005 8:48 pm

Yes! high quality exhaust sound!

I'm still debating about whether or not to get the TRD muffler. Can't muffler shops do some custom work [make it sound like a G35] for less than the total cost of the TRD muffler?

fixed your link

Sounds real good. :D I'd like to hear that with June's Injen short-ram. The growl of the intake and the tone of the exhaust, oh yeah. But, the price is still a bit too high IMO.

Yeah the street clip sounds like a G35 but the garage clip doesnt for some reason. Nevertheless, sounds pretty good.

I'm sure it sounds awesome with the intake but I dont think June has the muffler(?) Hey JUNE, you reading this???? :cough sound byte: lol

Does it really?

Postby JayDubz » Wed Mar 30, 2005 9:11 am

Not sure if im listening to the correct sound in those clips but it is very hard to tell what the muffler really sounds like... Maybe u need a better recording tool or something.. I think ill call around to find a dealership that maybe has a trd muffler on one of the solaras.. I was told they sell some with it already installed..

I'm gonna try and ask myself when I visit my dealership to buy some touch-up paint.

Hey there Boa,
Thanks for the info you've posted. after much long debate, I've placed my order for a TRD muffler. IMO, it does not look as good as many of the other aftermarket mufflers, but I know what it will sound like.

I'll post up a series of pictures when I get it and put it on.

Keep up the good work. Your post and webpage certainly caught my attention.

TRD Sport Muffler looks good & sounds even better!

and it is $400 off the internet, whereas the TRD mufflers for the Lexus

run $600-$700. I know $400. is not cheap but I think it is worth it.

Exhaust sounds great. It does have a G35 tone, but not as whiney. Thanks a mil for the clips. The street clip helped alot to get a good idea of what it sounds like.
