after hearing all these problems with the gen2 (left drift, throttle lag, etc), I was wondering if these problems are fixed for the 05 models or is it same-o same-o? Please list any other problems you have on your 05 gen2 solara here. Thanks in advance.

I purchased a 2005 Solara SLE Convertible in August 2004 and I have not

experienced any of the 2004's problems. If you can wait a couple of

weeks the 2006 Solara is available. Oh yes I have the v-6 engine the

only way to fly.

I got my 05 in August and I have had both those problems, so it seems to be hit and miss.
When in doubt gas it out, brakes just slow you down.
