$50 for an oil change?! WOAH! They have a $100/hour labor rate... we're only $82/hour x_X

Take it elsewhere... they aren't even trying to compete for your business lol
1GR-FE ftw!

ok so back on topic, my stupid maint. light is still on. I tried pushing the tri button and turning the car to on, and it did not reset. Any ideas? I did it for about 3 seconds, and held on down for 30 seconds, niether of which worked.

Alright kids... lets all turn to pg 136 of our owners manuals...

1. Make sure the odometer view is showing (not the trip a or b) (Might that be the problem J?)
2. key to off
3. hold down the trip reset knob and turn key to ON.
4. keep holding for 5 second or more until the ODO reads zeros and the MAINT light goes off.

And yes, it flashes after 4500 miles following the last reset. If you're nice to your Solara, you'll never see it. It stays on at 5000 miles.

Thus sayeth Toyota... let us ride.

   Funny!

Well my problem was exactly that! My bf always puts the trip A on to check gas mileage in my car, and I did not notice it until after I tried everything else! The maint. light is now gone.

Glad you're warning free! Now remember to do it everytime you change your oil and you'll never see the light again. You'd think Toyota would do that but my 1st change was at 3000 and the light came on at 4500. Changed at 6200, light was on 9000. So now I do it when I take the car in. (I bought the Toyota service package getting all changes down to <$15 for 12 changes.)
