New to the Solara!!!

I'm thinking about upgrading to 18's. What size tires should I get? What size tires are you riding on if you have 18's?

Thanks.

if you go to tirerack.com they have recommended sizes depending on which rim you want. you can also see how the rims look on your car/color

Welcome to the forum, bro.

For 18", most people go with 225/40/18

NO bubbing at all.

Oh no, I didn't know i was in the GEN 2 forum. I might be wrong about the above.

235-45-18 is the recommend size for the gen 2 according to tireraack.... since the stock tires are 205 or 215/50/17...

I'm using 235/45VR18 Michelins with my 18" x 8" wheels with a +40mm offset . They ARE the closest size to the stock 17" tires with only a 0.1% speedo difference. I have NO problems with rubbing or bumping at all.

However your choice of tires (brands, etc) in this size is rather limited so some folks go with a 225/45/18 tire which works fine too and gives you a wider selection in brands.

I just had 245/40-18 put on today BFG KDW TT so far great no rubbing with just me, I am waiting to have 3 more in the car to see if it rubs. But with 40MM offset it dose not look like the tire is pass the fender.
I still hope to be able to lower her using TRD springs but not sure.
Good luck with what you pick. I ready like my Motegi PDK 18 by 8
