springs?

i was just asking how do u guys get labor cost so cheap? i called this toyota place and they said $600 for labor and $200 for the springs!!!! i almost had a heart attack! so anyone have any ideas

take it to a local performance shop...should be ~$150-300

I have been calling around Atlanta to find out prices. i got quoted around 250 consistantly for the TRD springs and labor cost ranged from 380 to over 1000!!! Thats only from Toyota dealers. Oh yeah, make sure you include alignment when you are costing it.

Just about ever dealer I called told me they had never installed lowering springs on a solara (southerners only put on lifting springs, heehaw!) so I wanted to know if I am going to need new struts for my SLE?? The dealer told me no, but I wanted to double check with you guys.

PS-Anyone got any before and after pics after they lowered there SLE? I have seen SE Sport pics, but I wanna see what it looks like without a body kit on.

Thanks, that helped. The lowered SE sports just look so much better lowered than SLEs. I cant help to feel like I would literally be paying between 5 and 8 hundred dollars for about a 1.5 inch drop that most people wont even notice...

In my opinion, if you can't find a shop that'll do it for less than $150 it's not worth wasting your money, do it yourself. Honestly it's not a difficult job at all.

i live in bay area... and the cost and labor is a bit expensive
but they only charge ne 200 for the spring

You should hold off and get the TEIN coilovers if you want to go even lower than the SE sport. They are a bit pricey and still in development, but you can adjust the height.
