Just installed Brembo Rotors & EBC Greenstuff Pads...

I just want to let everyone know that this is a great brake upgrade for not a lot of cash. My old brakes were warped and the pads were really bad so I ordered Brembo stock size rotors up front with EBC Greenstuff brake pads from www.tirerack.com , all for 160 bucks. I thought it was a great deal. My friend and I installed them in like 30 minutes and wow i can not even believe how much better these parts are over stock. I didnt think that new stock size rotors and these pads would make this much difference in stoping. Hope this helps anyone out looking for a brake upgrade. :D

What pads were you using?

I had the EBC greenstuff pads, and went through them in 4k miles. I had over 40k on the Akebono Pro-Act Ceramic, and they weren't even halfway worn.

imho, if i were to back track with the information i know now, getting the brake lines would be more beneficial than pads/rotors.

its a hard decision since they go along together though.

The stock rubber lines flex and make the brake pedal more spongy, especially when hot (used a lot). The steel braided lines are more rigid and provide a more responsive feel. At least this is what I've heard. I'll be doing this upgrade soon. My 99 is still riding around on completely stock brake rotors and pads after 42,000 miles. -JoeB

I have the steel lines and they greatly improve brake performance. You really notice them when the brakes get hot, as JoeB mentioned or when you have to slam them. Hey and they look good too. I got a few extra points at a show once just for the lines. 8)

EBC will warp your rotors dudes. Performance Friction.....the only way to go.
