whirling noise when A/C or windscreen on when accelerating

i have a 2005 V6 se sport....whenever i have my air conditioning or windscreen turned on (uses the AC as well) there is a whirling noise coming from the engine everytime i go above 2500rpm or so. If windscreen or A/C is off then the noise isn't there. i just got my car recently and just hit 3800km. Does everyone's car have this noise? is it normal?

I'm sorry, but what do you mean when you say you have your "windscreen turned on"?

I'm guessing he means defroster for the windshield. Never heard it called windscreen which I thought was the optional accessory for the convertible to protect against air from the rear hitting you.

i guess i have my terminology wrong....what i mean is when air is blowing out the vents on the top of the dash (i guess the AC is turned on as well)
the sound is also there when AC is turned on and i accelerate...quite loud when it is above 2500rpm...when AC is turned off, it's not there...

sound like a belt that is rubbing.....

How about bringing it in to the dealer under warranty. Sounds like something is definitely very wrong.
