Anyone using an Aux-box or Aux-pod with the Nav radio?

Postby slingshot » Fri Jan 14, 2005 6:33 am

I'm going to get an Ipod Mini and want to know if anyone with a NAV radio got an Aux-pod or Aux-box to work with it. There have been other posts showing success with the non-NAV radio. A cable connecting either the Aux-box or Aux-pod to Toyota 2004 radios is available but I don't know which radios it connects to. Hoping it can work with the Navigation radio. Anyone have any info?

Search for Aux Pod and my username, and you'll find a thread about this. I've gotten it to work :)

Although the newest version of Aux-Pod doesn't work quite as well as the last version.... AND there is no "Aux-Pod" anymore... it's now iPod2Car (check out www.pac-audio.com for more information)

Well, for at least $160 without counting installation and extra cable cost, the IPOD2CAR better perform well. Which cable did you use? They reference a Toyota cable and say you might need an extra Y cable ($25) to use with the new small CD changer connector (12pin). It looks like I would need both cables. True?

The Toyota cable IS the Y-cable. You just need the ipod2car and a vehicle specific harness (which plugs into the Y-cable, which plugs into your NAV)...

Really... I put all this in that other thread.
