First time I dropped my car off

I dropped my care off for the first time today to fix everything that is wrong: The left drift, tire pressure light, moon roof, and rattles. Do you guys think they will fix them all this first time around or do you think I will have to drop it off again? I hate not having my car. It blows.

Chances are you may have to drop it off again but they should give you a free rental. Whenever I drop my car off for a legitimate warranty repair I've always gotten a free rental so you should push them for it.

Wow. I could say so many things here. Just pray that your dealerships don't act have as bad as the Detroit area ones do, and you should be fine.

I never heard of or seen Toyota dealers giving out free rentals. I thought only BMW, Infiniti, Lexus, Acura, etc do that. Has anyone else gotten free rentals regularly for warranty repairs?

I get a free rental if I bring my car in for more than one thing at a time... which is pretty much every time. Just have to ask, and make sure they realize that this car is your mode of transportation, and if they didn't suck in making it, you wouldn't need a loaner.

First off, My mom Didn't get a free rental because they thought it'd be done in an hour, it took them 2 days, so we got a free rental the day we brought it in

You need to get to know the Service Manager. The past 2 cars I owned I made sure I met and stayed in touch with the SM. I always received a car when I had to leave the car for a day or more.

What dealership did you take it to, and did they fix your rattles?

I'm at my wit's end with my 2004 Solara and trying to get the rattles fixed. I really don't want to pay a stereo shop to do it, since they're Toyota's problems!

The rattles were fixed, the sun roof was not fixed because they couldn't imitate the problem since it only happens on hot days, tire pressure light was fixed, and left drift was "fixed".

With my sunroof, the dealership said they had to order the glass. Three days later, they called to say it was "indefinitely backordered" and they'd call when it came in. That was six months ago.

I tried another dealership, and they said they fixed it (greasing it up, reattaching a spring or something?) but that it doesn't need new glass. It's started to make the sounds again, but since it's pouring rain in LA, it's not doing it right now.

My left drift was actually fixed on the first try, but I found for a few weeks that I kept driving like it was there and I'd drift towards the other side of the lane :)

Did you find out what they did to fix the left drift and rattles?
