what size car bra do you wear?

what size car bra do you wear?

Postby truebluestang » Sat Jan 01, 2005 8:11 am

I've been wanting to get my car a bra, but apparently they won't be making one for the cars with the body kits/aerodynamics package. Anyone know of a different thing I can do to keep the 15,000,000 bugs off of my car?

I use Rejex wax made by CorrosionX, and hardly have any bugs after road trips now. This stuff is the best ever!

Anyone know if there are tan colored bras available? I want one only if it matches my tan top.

The best thing for the sport model Solara or any car for that matter is a clear bra. I am a factory trained Xpel installer of this product. I have had it on my car for about 8 months and no bug stains or rock chips. They are pricey and it is not a do it yourself installation. I highly recommend a professional installer. Go to Xpel.com and find an installer in your part of the country. If anyone from the Northern California area is interested I will give a discount of 20% to all Solara guy members.

If you have any more questions let me know. Make sure who ever you use, use the 3M film it is the only one that has a clear coat.

Just wondering (since I'm close enough to Tracy...)

How much would it be after the 20% off?

CKLINH, the cost for the SLE kit which includes the front bumper cover, hood, fenders, and mirrors is $840.00. Twenty percent less would be $670.00 roughly.

There are cheaper alternatives that that OUTRAGEOUS price. Best thing is to buy the pre-cut bra for gen 2 solara's n have the shop custom do the front valances on your own. Charnee has 3m clear bra on her (rest the poor soul) tangerine solara. Look her up here or at cardomain, you will see its was hardly visible on the valances.

yowch! :D ... thanks for the info!... I wasn't really looking into it, was just for my information (not really much paint chips just yet... and the only rock chip I had is on the rear quarter panel... go figure...)

If anyone is charging significantly less than what I am charging I would not trust there work. Do some calling around. I will beat anyones price. Simply put, when you do these kits you get what you pay for. My kits are the pre-cut kits I use Xpel's design access program to cut my kits which are the 3M clear bra. You do not need a custom cut kit for the solara. The kit for the front valance or spoiler kit for the sport model is a pre-cut kit. Let's try to give people the correct information here.

Pricing differs all over the place. Xpel's pricing is for the kits not installation.

I strongly advise this to all who are interested in a clear bra. Avoid anyone who cuts these kits with a bulk roll of film on the car, yes I said ON THE CAR WITH A KNIFE!

There is an installer near me who does not stand behind his work. They give people doing clear bra installations a bad rap. Quality of work and service come first!

If anyone has questions please ask me. I am more than willing to answer questions or point you in the right direction.
