I just called the one and only dealership here, and they want $100 even for them. They have pretty high prices on service as well. Being the only dealership within 50 miles, I guess they can get away with it.

GUYS!

I'm getting my door sill for $78 shipped...

Had to do an inquiry... but it's worth it... this is what I did...

First go to:

www.toyotapartspeople.com

click on Parts Inquiry and inquire about the part (description and part number: PTS21-06040)

then after one day... they sent me this email:

"Thanks for your inquiry. The door sill enhancement is $100.00, but with our
online discount your cost is only $69.00."

Then follows some information about placing the order... shipping is 9 bucks...
not bad... I placed my order about five minutes ago...

___________________________________________

I just thought about something... that discount might be because I had placed a prior order with them... I'm not sure if that is the case... if anyone else tries this, please let me know if you were able to get this to work.

Those are for Gen2 only I think because of the customized shape to fit over the existing vinyl ones. Not sure how they would look or fit on earlier generations.

I just went to that site and it says list price is $100 but final cost is $70. No waiting for a day to get a response. Adding it to cart shows cost of $70 and shipping is $7 for total of $77. I'm ordering mine now. Sorry Cosmicblue but your total cost is probably higher. Thanks for the research and effort though and thanks to cklinh.

I'm impressed by the parts discounts at www.toyotapartspeople.com. They have so many parts for the car at really good discounts.

OK...

weird... their directions to me were different... but whatever works!

(for others that are looking for this, you have to search by part, where it says "Collision/Mechanical Parts Catalog"... I guess that's what threw me off... should have checked that before I emailed them...)

Sorry, people.
Work has been crazy this week. I've had service techs off this week.
I'm glad you found another source for the door sills(even if it was'nt me)
It's all good. And about the car.
Sorry again.
Will try to be more of a help in the future. :D

Took awhile for them to process the order but it has been sent and I should receive it next week. Will report on it when I get it.

Mine will have to wait :)

I'm waiting to install some subs... I wanted to install the sills after the subs...

Word of warning... handle the sills with care... they can bend quite easily... I had one of mine bend when I was taking it out of the box... just took some pliers to it to fix it...
