Stock talk about the Generation 2 and 2.5 Toyota Solara which was released in 2004-2007

Here's something that I noticed.

Here's something that I noticed.

My car is actually the SE Sport or whatever it is, BUT on my title and all the paperwork from Toyota is labeled as a SLE. Is this the same??? From what I've seen it's not, so I didn't know if Toyota had screwed up or not.

BTW, this is a great place to compare cars.

There are quite a few differences between the SE sport and the SLE.

I compared 4 models.
Listing in order
1. 2005 SE Sport V6 Coupe
2. 2005 SLE Coupe
3. 2004 SE Sport V6 Coupe
4. 2004 SLE Coupe

I hope this link works for you guys. BTW, this is a great place to compare cars.

SE Sport Coupes comparison to SLE Coupes

If the link does not work, just go to www.edmunds.com and you should be able to select and compare.

Right, Mine's the SE Sport V6 by description, but EVERYTHING I have on paper says is the SLE Coupe.

Sounds for sure like a major paperwork messup. Maybe you need to tell them you ordered an SLE and got an SE Sport wrongly. hehe You could end up with the cheapest costing SLE ever!

Yes, big mistake... Have them correct it. What does it say on your insurance (provided that you have insured the car already)? Make sure they dont have you down for the SLE, because I think the SLE is more expensive to insure than the SE (more options/equipment, thus more likely to be stolen).

I just called teh insurance company. They pull a car by its VIN, so I need to check and make sure that my VIN is recorded as an SE, not a SLE. Anyone know how to do this?

So what are their records indicating it as...surely a dealership can do the same. but regardless of what a dealership tell ya, the insurance is based on the VIN (and what it spits out). I'm guessing your ins. co got it right and the dealership's made a boo boo in the paperwork (not in the car you got, but in the what kind of car that was sold to you).

24,900 was what I paid. I don't have leather or anything else really... no power seats, just moonroof, power windows mirrors etc.
