auto-dim mirror

auto-dim mirror

Postby dvdchris45 » Sun Jul 25, 2004 2:48 pm

my solara didnt't come with an auto-dim rear view mirror and I want to put one, I'm sure I can get a hold of a toyota one from ebay or whatever. My question is do the 04 Solara's come pre-wired for it? And if so, does anyone know or could give some advice on installation?

auto dim are fun untill you tint your car. My stopped working the day limo tint went to the rear window. If you planning on tinting your car....forget about this. I have the compass/temperature/dimming mirror on my camry. all the features (minus the dimming) are useful. I'd rather tint, then add autodimming mirror.

^So true. Tinting is better than the dimmer mirror.

I dont mean to bring back a dead thread, but i got a quick question:

I got a 2005 SLE, is the passenger side mirror supposed to dim like the rear view and driver side does?

Thanx

I'm taking a break from MNF...what part of Atlanta are you in? A few of us get together every month or so if you are interested. I will probably host a detail day on Saturday December 11th. I'm in the Dunwoody/Sandy Springs area.

Stay on topic, no one gives a RATSASS on what you will be hosting, take your detail jobs to pm...

I'm sure your mature post will make a great impression on this new member I'm trying to get involved with the Atlanta folks...I guess I'll stop trying to promote this board. The next time an Atlanta person wants their car detailed for the cost of supplies I'll tell them to go drive to California to see you...you try to be helpful & you get crap. This is getting more & more like the Mustang forums.

What's the matter, the G35 forum didn't take you????????????? They must have made you a mod for getting such a bad car...all the kiddies on here love you and want to be like you, huh?

Tell you what mr gangster bad ass, you can host a detail day and help the Atlanta folks with their cars....for free...what hotel should they meet you at? I was asked to help them...so from now on I'll refer them to you...you can spend your time detailing their cars in exchange for replacing the some of the products you use.

Rene, this is why you haven't seen me as much and will see me less.

Mike, check with that1mexguy for details on their next meet. Unless Milt is gonna take that over too.

i guess limo dark in the rear, its basic black color, its the darkest legal for texas! my point was that the thing worked nicely, i could evidently see the mirror go dark at highways...after tinting, i use that just for knowing that direction i'm going in (compass) and what the outside temp!
