Alright...so BestKits finally released their version of the Solara Dash Kit. And, they lied...They were really proud to announce in August that their kit will be the first Solara kit that would match our silver dash, but nooo...They're blacker than night, not to mention cheap looking! Could someone please confirm the rumors about Scosche being dash color?

Look how nice it and it's color match just like he said.... :lol:

One of the guy that I've been conversing with is trying to get some pics of the kit in an actual Gen 2 Solara.

I want it, when do they plan on releasing it? My wonderful boyfriend installed my XM for me today, would have been nice to do the swap while it was already ripped apart again. Maybe scosche will finish it before we are all retired. :roll:

just got the scosche kit yesterady. color is really really close but not quite there. if i have time, i will be putting it in on friday along with a full system...woo hoo

Did you get the harness for it too?

The harness is pretty easy to find, even Best Buy has them, as long as you have non JBL and non navi.

First things first...It's been a while since I've visited the forums. And when i did today, i thought i was at the wrong page. Looks good.

Anyway, back to the topic at hand; I ordered my kit sometime early last week and I just got an e-mail from Buy.com saying that they are on Backorder and I won't be charged for the kit until it ships out, but they don't have an estimated shipping date. Just thought I'd let you guys know.

Incase someone doesn't want to wait for the Scosche kit from buy.com, I found a picture of "the other kit" installed in an 04 Solara. It's available here for $16.95.

It doesn't look all that bad in black. But I'd much rather wait for the Scosche kit.

Yeah, that's my car. It doesn't look too bad, but I would really rather have the silver. I got the name of the rep at Scosche from Michael, and we can get them for about $20 shipped, and they are available now.

Just some thought, is the original NAV a standard double DIN? If so, can't the NAV dash kit be ordered from Toyota?
