I think it's rubber with painted plastic on top or something like that. Not real aluminum for sure.

I'm not sure if you're talking about the OBX sport pedals, but I can tell you for sure they are made with a black rubber base with a "real" aluminum cover. I spent enough time busting my a$$ installing these in my car (they were a really tight fit), so I had plenty of opportunity to see what they were made of.

I didn't like my OBX pedals, so I took them off to replace them with pilot sport pedals for about 20 dollars. Good Quality. If anyone wants my OBX pedals instead of buying it from the dealership, PM me. I'll sell it for 15.

Here's a pic of my new Pedals. Sorry about the blur.

You got it right (for the OBX pedals).

TS04: nice pedals. Do you have a better (closer) picture? Also, where did you buy these? I'm not very happy with my OBX pedals, the aluminium gets scratched pretty easy.

I can see why it may be easy to mistake these pedals as being plastic. The aluminum has a sand-blasted matte finish and looks a dull silver-grey. That's very different than what you would see with polished aluminum.

Very true about the easy to mistake appearance. They seem pretty durable and are definitely much nicer looking than the stock black plastic ones. For the price, it's a no-brainer.

I hope I'm not going too much off topic here...

I really like these Scion tC pedals...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... egory=6755

anyone know if they'd fit a Solara?

--------

Just compared them to the SE Sport Pedals for the Solara... looks like it won't work (since they're just covers for the pedal, and our brake pedal is much larger)...

Anyone seen other pedals that are almost identical?

---------
Duh! Stupid me... those were manual... I think it _might_ work...

anyone know for sure?

(anyways, last post in this thread about this... if you reply please start a new thread... getting kinda offtopic... I think...)

Hi folks...

Big favor to ask of you that have the Solara Sport Pedals...

Can you please measure the size of the pedals themselves? I've been asking around a few scion tc sites for the dimensions of their pedals... I want to compare them and possibly get the tC pedals for my car...

(I know I said "last post" in my last post, but this is related to the Solara Sport Pedals :)
