I Get Flashed the Brights A Lot.

how do i re-aim my headlights? ive noticed when other gen 2 solaras drive behind me i always wonder if they are high beaming me. it always annoys me and i dont want this happening to other people

Ohhhh... Is that it... I thought it was because there were cops in the area. Hmm, I guess that would explain why I never saw any after being flashed! Duh... From now on i am going to flash them back, to "educate" them, as someone suggested.

I been flashed a couple of times before too. I didn't think anything of it until now. ^^I'll just flash them back so they notice the difference.

Okay...I've been lurking around on this other forum about this issue and perhaps it may explain a bit more.

But from what I have gathered and talking to several police officers, they can pretty much site you for equipment failures and if you are flashing your headlights if they choose to; granted there are a few other laws that we're not aware of as well.

Ch. 90 sec. 7 specifies that:

"No motor vehicle so operated shall mount or display a flashing, rotating or oscillating light in any direction except pursuant to section seven E of this chapter; provided, however, that this shall not apply to the use of rear directional signals nor to the proper use of vehicle hazard warning signals as provided for by this section."

I wouldn't say that it is cut and dry that this situation exactly fits the spirit or intention of 90/7. But, it does fit the language: people flashing their hl's to warn speeders ARE flashing lights which are not directional signals or hazard lights. And, for better or worse, plenty of officers write 90/7 cites for it without too much problem.
