i think its designed so that it reaches a certain temp and then cools off like an over, once its cooled down it will come on again

only way to keep the heat going would be to maybe keep ur windows open and have a really icy ass

they do this for safety sake though so u dont burn urself its all in the manual under heated seats ( also note it drains ur battery if you leave it on when you have the key in the on rather than the engine on if you ever sit and say wait to pick up a loved one after work often)

You must be right Shoe. I've noticed this too.

I wish we had more than 1 setting, but it is better than not having heated seats!

I think the heat cycling is perfect and the one setting is fine. When it starts getting too hot, it drops then rises again. This eliminates the need for low and high settings for me at least. I'm loving the heated seats now since it started getting cold last few nights.

Yes, my seat heaters "cycle" on and off... Did not know that about the battery draining, good bit of advice!

Thank goodness for seat heaters... Especially now that it's like 20 below every morning in the northeast!!! :-?

Once you've experienced it, it's hard to go back to cold seats on ice cold mornings. Everyone who gets rides in my car wants me to drive for lunch after that just to sit in the heated seat. And chicks love it!

Yep, it's awesome! The heating cycles works fine for me. I don't like it too hot, just nice n' toasty. 8) I don't even use my heater anymore, just the seat when it's cold in the mornin'.

With the top down, heated seats are a must... I dont think I would buy anything with out the heated seats. The Cycling on and off is a pain though.. I would have liked the option of leaving them as long as I wanted as apposed to the temperature control.. If I burn my ass I am sure it wont happen twice :o

Once you have had heated seats you will not buy a car without them.

The same goes for air conditioning/ Heated mirrors/ Navigation/ Homelink

etc./ etc./ etc.

I think it is a plot by the car companies to get us to spend more money.

Talk about more money and more options has anyone seen the new

Avalon Limited, now that is sweet.

New Avalon does look sweet. Auto-wipers? wicked! Wonder if it got the remote start they were planning on.

Oh yeah... and they aren't worried about your butt. Seat heat clicks off so it doesn't set the leather aflame. That's a lesson you don't want to learn even once.

Shoe is totally right! Good job! =P

There is no way to keep the seat at the 'perfect' temperature. The only way is to "pulse" the heat on and off to keep it in the neighborhood of your settings.
