how many ppl would pay an entry fee to race across the US starting on the east coast and ending up in Torrance or Long Beach in Cali. There will be a cash prize as well as loding with breakfast and maybe dinner will be provided for each leg of the race.

each person would be given a map for each leg, but they can use their own map, but can not use in car nav or gps

It would be roughly a 5 day event with roughly 6-8hrs of driving per day and will happen most likely in July or August of next year.

with a huge BBQ/party the night the race ends.

Also how much would you pay for the entry fee, which would include your lodging, breakfast and most likely dinner along the way, other things to be offer is a t-shirt with the entry as well as some other stuff.

Now before anybody go and say oh your promoting illegal racing on public roads its nothing like that, it is more or less a challenge of your navigation skills as well as driving skills.

events like this have been done across the US all the time held by the manufactuer of the cars..... Ferrari just had their 5th one this year, Corvetter did also along with Ford for the Mustang owners.

please serious reponses pls, and nothing negative unless it is contructive criticism

heres a link to more discusions about this.

If I could afford to pay for all the speeding tickets, I'd consider it.
Here's a link for info and pics of my 1999 Camry:

I finally came up with 2 routes that would be challeneging without any tolls. please choose one 1 route that you would most likely would like to try to drive.

Okay here is 2 proposed routes that can be taken. The first is Rt. 66 from Chicago to Torrance, the other is from D.C. To Torrance

From Chi-town will take 5 Days with an average of 5 1/4 driving hours a day.

From D.C. it will take 6 days with an average of 6 3/4 driving hours a day.

we would be arriving at the end of each leg at aprox 1600hrs-1630hrs for that day. some legs are slightly shorter than others.

for each leg in either route you are looking at the range of 300-500 miles.

So I need ppl to choice a route that they think will be enjoyable for all as for I need to submit this to various companies with in the next couple of weeks

This is something that I'd be interested in also. The price would be the only factor.

How much are you guys willing to put down?

the fee will take care of lodging, breakfast, also each participant will recieve a free CD inspired by the tour, a certificate of completion and a t-shirt.

I am trying to work something out with some companies in the food and beverage industry to help on that side of things.

also guys state where you would like to start from, this will help in selecting what companies to deal with and so forth.
