What options would you want available?

What options would you want available?

Some nice-to-have inexpensive options or features were left out on the GEN2's. What ones would you have liked to have or would like to have the next time you might want to buy a Solara? If Toyota is reading this, please include them next time.

I would like to have had:

1. Toyota All weather rubber mats for front and rear - I found mats that fit pretty well in the front but can't find rear ones. Would have been so much easier to just buy them from Toyota!

2. Coin holder - Why they left out this essential thing is beyond me.

3. Dual zone automatic climate control - Getting more popular and even the Accord has it. Don't you hate it when your passenger reaches over and adjusts the temp or fan when you're happy with the settings?

4. Remote power window down - Another thing the Accord has and great for very hot days when walking toward the car.

5. XM Satellite radio option - Instead of charging us an arm and a leg for after purchase install, just make it an added complete option.

6. Splash guards - To get this, I had to find it on an Internet toyota parts site. Why does a Southern state Toyota provide this option yet no other dealer does?

An inexpensive thing I would like would be a mute button for the radio, on the steering wheel or the dash.

On the more expensive side would be a heads up display system, had it on my last car and loved it.
When in doubt gas it out, brakes just slow you down.

Would have loved to have automatic and remote opening of the top on the convertible. It's not a big deal to open the latches first, but it would be more elegant. The remote opening, now that would be just plain cool.

I would have also liked the CD player to play MP3s. I had a JVC in my previous car that was playing MP3s, and I still miss it.

Of course, decent tires would be nice.
