Shell V-Power, anyone have tried it yet?

i'm crazy fan of mobile gas.
couple days ago, i saw ppl saying new shell v-power gas is 95 octane.
anyway, i found an article which proves that was a false statment...
http://www.shell.com/home/Framework?siteId=us-en&FC2=/us-en/html/iwgen/zzz_lhn.html&FC3=/us-en/tailored/shell_for_motorists/fuels/optimax/optimax_faqs_ga_1602.html#12 under "What is the octane rating of Shell V-Power?"

anyway, ppl say it's good, so i tried it today.
i filled 13.403 gallon v-powered gas, (that's nearly full tank)
after my long test running... here is the result
Car: SLE V6 (no air condition on, mostly running on freeway with top speed 80miles)
Total Driving Time: 52min
Total Distance: 58.9miles
Avg. Speed: 67.8mph
Avg. Gas Consuming: 30.5mpg...
i think 30.5mpg is a very high number!!
i used mobile 91gas and run same rout b4, the result was about 28mpg
and when i was running on freeway, i can felt i pick up speed faster than b4!

do i think too much? or it's really better? anyone knows?

I think Shell gasoline is the best in business, but I honestly don't feel a difference between the old 93 and the V-Power (I almost always use Shell 93 in my car). I think the benefits of the V-Power are long range, with better preservation of the cylinder block and such due to the detergents they use. Performance-wise though I don't think there's a difference.

I'll have to give it a try. I just heard a commercial on the radio about it last night. I used to get 94 octane from the Sunoco station right down the street from my house but they stopped carrying it 2 weeks ago. -JoeB

Yeah, that's how it is in Europe, but they use a different formula for determination of the octane ratings, so their 91 is like US 87...
