Definatly Nokya's. Quality and High Temp Color. About 7000k. Long lasting. I don't use my High beams all that much and I'd shut them off if a car was coming anyways. I'm getting some. DocJohn did some testing even though the nokya's are 80watts. He said he's had them since July and no problem yet. Nokya Bulb Test

I'm very satisfied so far with the Nokya Arctic White H11 and 9005 bulbs (low & high beams) and the Hoen "All Weather" yellow H10's in my foglights.

I was very interested when I saw on the Hoen site that they will be selling Xenonmatch Vi 7 bulbs by late October. They describe these as follows:

"Using some components from the xenonmatch Titanium line the Vi 7 is optimized for projector lighting assemblies and operates at 70w. Available in H7, H11 and 9006. $69 USD per pair."

These are the first bulbs that I'm aware of that are available optimized for either projector (Xenonmatch Vi 7) or reflector (Xenonmatch Vi) applications. I'll probably try a pair of the Xenonmatch Vi 7 H11's eventually.

Real HID's depend on the temp, but I think they usually go for around 200-300 dollars.

i prefer 6000K~7000K HID, and keep fog light stock, maybe even change it to YELLOW. cause yellow color works the best in rainging/snowing days...

I'm gonna have to agree. Stock lighting is already pretty superior to most other cars on the road. I am constantly getting high's flashed at me when my highs are not even on.

Not to be a sheep, but stock are the best bulbs to go with. If you are looking for the best after-markets, I'm kinda partial to the Hoen Xenonmatch plus. They really look like HIDs from a distance and they actually are pretty bright. For fogs, Hoen All-Weather H10s. They may not be as yellow as you may want them to be, but they look badass and compliment the Xenonmatch pretty well. That reminds me; I should post a picture of them at night.

Yes, low beams are H11, high beams are 9005, and fogs are H10.
For Nokya Arctic White Stage II 9005's and H11's try:
H11's: http://www.eautoworks.com/ord-Auto~Acce ... -15725.htm
9005's: http://www.eautoworks.com/html/ORD-Ligh ... o-2660.htm
Other places sell these so shop for the best price.

Also, the stock bulbs on the Solara are quite good, but there are simply better AM alternatives like Hoen and PIAA. For example, the 55 watt Hoen H10 "all weather" (yellow) bulbs simply outclass the stock Sylvania 42 watt bulbs in all respects (except price).

I didn't know that a 9005 bulb could fit in an H10 socket without modification. :o This is very interesting. Anyway just know that the 9005st is a 70 watt bulb and you are using it in a housing designed for a 42 watt bulb. The Hoen H10 fogs I'm using now are 55 watts and everything has been fine so far. As long as your foglight housings can handle the additional heat, you should be okay.

EDIT: OOPS! I just checked and the 9005 (or HB3) bulb base IS interchangable with the H10 (or 9145). The H10 bulb was developed on the 9005 platform. See:
http://www.donsbulbs.com/bulbs/g/b/p20d.gif AND
http://www.gelighting.com/na/downloads/techsheet.pdf

However, the info on the increased wattage of the 9005 over the H10 is correct.
