It looks like your best bet is to put it on the roof like Mike said. Since I'm seeing more and more antennas on the roof area, right before the back windshield.

Those GPS/CDMA aren't very cheap either. What model do you have?

Good luck... :drinking:

WOW, :o for $1200 bucks they could've made a better looking antenna. Sorry dude, but no matter where you put it, it's gonna look like a ufo on your car.

paint a toyota logo on the top side of the reciver and put it on the tip of your hood and remove the toyota logo from the front grill or better yet if you dont want your car to look gay just throw away the whole project

if your really really good cut a whole in the roof the exact same size as the top of the reciver and mount that in the car threw the hole so the top part sticks out but since the hole in the roof is fit so perfect you woulndt be able to tell from the outside and you can put a layer of paint over it maybe?
now thats a chalenging idea but wouldnt it work?

just a small side not, its not going to look better but sat and gps antennas work perfectly fine in the front glass of toyotas, better than the outside, but still gonna look like an air freshener :P We have done soo many like that in toyotas, just because kids were ripping them off in the stores area for a while  Give it a try, satellites are pretty forgiving. Not like tv with all the bandwidth

Crazy, it would be real tough to ge ta good seal around the antenna, no matter how gould of a cut it is, plus the head liners of our cars are pretty close to the roof itself, its not like a yukon thats got a foot (my installers love those for drop downs =0p )
If it doesn't kill you.....it only makes you faster!

yea it is a lot better to be on the front deck. If it looks like an air freshner, it is still better than where it is right now.
