Superchargers - how long are they good for?

If I remember good, JoeB posted the information on the SC and how fast it would spin as the engine rotated. I think at 8psi your pushing the SC to its extreme and you'll start to have heating issues.

if you were to go to a turbo that could do 15+lbs with an innercooler and the engine built up could the block handle it?

With all that money, you can get a 383 small block that would run 9's in a 1/4 mile.
The 1MZFE is an economy type of engine not performance one. So if you want a race car, you gotta think again!

i dont want a race car i just want a fast ass 5spd solara,i got a 1967 camaro but because im rebuilding it will b about $15,000 and another $20,000 fer the engine (572 bore out 2 610cu in) with blower and 4speed man 20 in wide back tires with a ford 9in rear end itll b about 1,600 at the wheels but thats a long way away so besides goin xtreme boost what the highest i can go cuz ill do what i can fer the 1mz-fe fer now,mainly cuz all the people at school that say toyotas suck ass.


btw im sorry im such a pain in the ass its just i needa start savin now cuz i was run7-9psi at least if possible i just want it to be like joeB's car or tabasco if i save now ill have the money i just need an idea how much they spent on the engine like fuel pistons,etc not counting exhaust

9 seems to be the "best". That's not to say you couldn't get a custom turbo done, or a hand-built blower, or a flux capacitor, or warp drive, or some other crazy shizzit if you had the cash.

As for the stock s/c? It's as reliable as anything else Toyota, which should answer the question right there. You also do get better gas mileage, as the engine burns more efficiently.
