Goodbye Friends
Good Bye. I have given up on my car and just traded in the Solara. I want to thank everyone for their help over the months with the TSBs and other advice in general.
My reasons for trading the car in were: Got 23K on the trade in, which was a little more than I owed on the loan; The car was in the shop more times in 8 months than my previous car was in 10 years; Rarely got more than 16 mpg, even after ECM replacement; ECM replacement fixed the really scary throttle lag, but minor lag was still there; while the left drift problem was "fixed" ( after 4 tries), the handling of the car was never right. In fact, it seemed to handle better before the "fix"; pieces of the car started falling off in the interior. I may have had a bit more problems with the car than most, but after the initial excitement of ownership, I never was excited by the car, mostly because of the acceleration and handling problems. It was truly the most comfortable car I ever owned. Good luck to you all and take care. James
