First thing to go on the Gen 2! :(

Well I've had the car 6 weeks (put 1100 miles on it) and already something went! The Auto Roll-down feature on the driver's side window no longer works. I know it's something minor but it burns me up to know that I paid so much and this feature isn't working. I'm contemplating whether to bring it in for service now or to just wait until the scheduled maintenace. I don't even want to tell anyone because then they will think the car isn't good quality. Augh!

Anyone else have this problem? :-?

I haven't had that problem yet. It maybe due to loose wiring or something.

I didn't disconnect the battery... That would be a logical explanation, though. I will check the fuse and see if that could be it.

I just wanted to note that I'm currently renting a '03 Accord 4cyl, and this thing has auto roll up UP AND DOWN feature, like the Lexus cars. What's up with Toyota not doing this also? :-?

Holy ish, I never knew the car had an auto UP, until the above poster stated that. And I just tried it, and...cool stuff. I always thought there was only an auto DOWN. I never clicked the switch all the way up before. I'm still finding out new things about the car.

Thanks for the "enlightenment" 8)

My wife drives the Solara to work everyday and I'm very jealous of the auto up. My 2001 Tundra doesn't have it. Oh well, that and no stereo controls on the steering wheel are the only things I wish I had on the truck.

if you really wanted the all-down... I think you can get add-ons to some of the more advanced alarms to get that... michaels_arctic_frost might be able to tell you more... (or not, can't quite remember :)

I'd wait for scheduled maintainence. It's not something you can't live without. I'd just wait. I am taking my car in tomorrow for inspection and while I'm there, I'll have them check the sunroof for the rubbing noise. You know, since I'm there. Yes, it was aggravating, but I could live with it for awhile and get everything done in one trip.
