eBay motors being a crock of ....! Convertible hunt...

I'm still hunting for a Toyota Solara Convertible from 2000-2003.

I never imagined this car to be so damn difficult to find.
Dealers are selling this car for around $23,000 for a low miles 2001.

I can get TWO SLE coupes for that price with average mileage.

Is this right? Are the convertibles really over twice the price of the coupes once they have been on the market a few years?

Also... has anyone noticed eBay motors having car places put their cars online for like a buck, and setting the reserve at like 22,000 dollars (the same as the sale price).
While I understand people need to protect themselves when they sell at auction. I'd say... 5% at most of these cars on ebay are getting sold. Its a waste to even bid or look because these people aren't even trying to push their cars.

grrr!

It's worth it to ship it though. My convertible came out of Phoenix and I'm in Indiana. Very worth the $700 because there were NONE here for a decent price... Auto shipping is your friend.

I actually need to pick up the car in california, i'm a state resident there and NY will not let me register without a NYS license, but I'll move the car from East to West back East if I have to...

or just west to east.

Either way I have to take the car at least 3000 miles.

while the fact that california states emissions may lighten the performance of my car by less than 1%

I am legally mandated to keep a license in the state i reside in, as well as might note that car insurance is at least 50% lower in any given county of california vs. Long Island NY.

Thank you for the insane effort though.
