This is what I have:

I have the JBL sound speakers+amp, not the cd player, i guess.
I don't see JBL on it. It says Fujitsu Ten on the left of the label.
And I can stop it by you today too. $40 fine with me. You want
the plug too?

if that Fujitsu headunit is non-amp, you also need the JBL amp and jbl cable that comes with that headunit as well.
all gen 1 solara has same standard stereo plugs, with and without JBL, but JBL version added different connector for the headunit,

the stereo plug shown from your picture looks like regular toyota stereo plug, (not the JBL upgraded version, JBL amp version has at least 20 pin, i think)

here will be my suggestion,
1. you can buy a fancy aftermark unit and invest $10 on harness plug.

2. buy a cd/tape/radio combo that has built-in amp within the same generation, (non-JBL version), it should plug straight in.

3. buy a JBL verion of cd/tape/radio combo, but also need the JBL AMP and harness cable that comes with that JBL amp because non-JBL and JBL do have different connectors, and even if they are JBL, 99 model and 2000 to 2003 model have different headunit connector as well.

sorrie for turning this into a disscusion thread.

that is correct
and make sure you have the right JBL harness cable to your headunit.

the 99 JBL model headunit (Fujitsu single CD combo) has a different connector than the 2000 + JBL model headunit (Panasonic 6 CD indash changer)

the JBL AMPs seam to be the same physically across all Gen1 though,
