Veilside!

Veilside!

Postby UfoZ8myCow » Thu Jul 22, 2004 1:38 pm

Its been a while since Ive been able to access the site... It doesnt work for me at home, only at work... Anyways, here's a new update:

Got the Veilside Teardrop exhaust put on today... 2.5" mandrel bent piping, 14" resonator. The muffler isnt just angled for looks, either. The stock exhaust piping ran closer to the center of the car and then inserted into the stock muffler on the side. In order to keep the pipe as straight and smooth as possible, we followed the same routing and angled the exhaust to keep it flowin'. Here are the pics:

That's step 1... Step 2 is having my downpipe and exhaut piping from there to the catalytic convertor made. Then, the rest of zee turbo is bolted on.

that crap hangs tooo damn low....

IMO doesn't look right on a camry...

belongs on a rx-7 or supra type car with a wider rear end... but to each of his own....

I agree more for RX-7 type cars. I would go something more simple for solara and camry applications.

Isn't that a bit much for a 5S?

Scrape city! It looks like a great exhaust. But, it does look overkill for the 5s.

Bah... still cant get on SolaraGuy while Im at home, only at work.

You guys are right, if I were to just leave my engine as it is, this would be waaaay too much for the 5S... But, I am going turbo in which case this suits the bill quite well. Also, the piping itself doesnt hang any lower than the stock piping, its just more noticeable because it is chrome rather than the stock black piping. Check out any stock Camry exhaust next time you are driving... Youll see that it hangs pretty low. Surprisingly though, I havent scraped it once, which is good.
