Photoshop Request / Contest Part II

Hey man, pleasure is all mine! I saved that blue solara pic on my computer for like a year now, and I have been just oogling over it forever. I would love, after thinking about it, that exact same body style and all, dual exhaust, just in a diff paintjob, maybe lime yellow or white blue/purple pearl. Freaking hot, and I think theres not much out there with solara pics and fender flares. This is why that pic is so special.

Defiantly! I e-mailed that guy to see if has more pics. I want to do something like this and repaint my car metallic grey like the (Lexus is300), along with clearing all the dings on both door panels.
The only difference would be the wing. I would get either the alligator wing or this one. . .

Think I can do all that and stay under 2k?

This is why I want help with the photoshop concept, this way I can see how it would look and make a good choice.

Good idea on the metallic grey, lookin very nice. Actually reminds me of this show car Acura TSX or TL i saw browsing somewhere.

2K? I doubt it. The fender flare work will cost atleast 6-800 parts and labor, like the guy with that blue solara said in his thread somewhere. Paintjob i expect to pay at least 2k for it, if not closer to 4. You want a nice color and done well, not just some cheesy flat color or basic metallic color. Get a candy or pearl flake!

Total I can estimate at 5 to 6k whole deal, but then again you have a complete show car, just no interior color matching done, but who cares if you have a black interior anyways.

You know I paid around $5000 for install of the kit and painting of the whole car. These guys told me they would never do it again for that price. I think $4000 is lowballing but it's probably possible. BTW, you can use my pics anytime.

LOL...Do it if you have the money and plan on keepin the car for awhile. Othawise, it's a waste of money IMO.

Money wise. I'm still trying to determine myself if it's worth it.

If youre keeping the car for more than 3 years realistically, and in your mind you want to keep it til it dies, I would def do the mods. Solara is a keeper... if it was a Civic I would just let it swim back to sea.

Yeah I had the car for almost 5 years now and don't see myself letting it swim out to sea.

I went to a place and they quoted me 7k for everything and the paint that I want. Toooo much! Not in my budget right now. Not like my paint is fading anyway so I'm just going to stick with the lip kit and the alligator wing for now.

Still good to try this concept if I had the money right now.

Needless to say this contest is officially over. If anyone wants to post up a Photoshop concept it's all on you now.
